This is a 30-acre woodlot south of Rt 9 in Keene with access from Washington Street Extension. This lot and the 37-acre lot to the north of Rt 9 were created from one parcel when the new layout for Rt 9 was built resulting in two parcels, one above Rt 9 and one below. This lower lot abuts Beaver Brook Canyon Park. Washington Street Extension was discontinued by Keene many years ago as access for development purposes. The forest is a mix of Oak, Pine and Hemlock. Recent harvesting has provided a series of woods roads to access the land. Rt 9 is a controlled access highway that does not allow driveways.
