Wilmot is in Merrimack Country approximately twenty miles north and west of Concord.  The population is 1,358 (2010 census).  Wilmot Flat, in the valley, is home to the Baptist Church, Post Office, and the town office.  Wilmot Center, up the hill, is home to the Congregational Church, Town Hall, and the Library.  Mount Kearsarge, elevation 2931 feet, is the highest point in town and surveys all the lesser hills around.  Winslow State Park, at the northern foot of the mountain, provides picnic area, views, and access by hiking trail to the summit.
